XRP deposit from KuCoin...incorrect withdrawal address

When trying to deposit (or transfer) XRP from KuCoin, I get the error message “incorrect withdrawal address”. What does this mean? I’m literally copying and pasting the wallet address right from the app into KuCoin. Thanks!

Hello check what network your XRP on Kucoin is on and what network you are copying from the Trust app.

The only network I can see on both KuCoin and Trust Wallet is XRP. There’s no option to change it on Trust Wallet.

If your XRP is on the native XRP network, then just simply copy your XRP address from the Trust app which should start with an “r”

I’m having the same issue. My XRP address does start with an ‘r’. Kucoin just says “incorrect withdrawal address”

Hello @mteeb
Your XRP on Kucoin may not be on the native network but on the erc20/bep20 network.

Thanks @JennyMillan. I think you’re right about the KuCoin XRP being on a different native network, but I can’t find out which one. I emailed KuCoin customer support 4 days ago with no response so far. Ripple doesn’t take support emails, and I can’t find anything online about it. Trust Wallet has a few XRP look-alikes, but I’m afraid to transfer to those wallets for fear that my XRP will end up in oblivion. What’s your take on just trying one of the other XRP wallets?

@timpostma123
You need to find what network your XRP is on Kucoin then you can withdraw accordingly to your Trust app.

@JennyMillan Problem solved…it was the tag. XRP from KuCoin requires a tag even though Trust Wallet says no destination tag required. And the tag can be random, like 123456 or 000000. Maybe this is just a thing from KuCoin, I don’t know. I found the solution on the KuCoin reddit page, except that the person posting was using a different wallet.
