Better understand Smart Chain

don’t understand Smart Chain coin, is it the same as BNB? is it transferable and tradable on binance?

Hello @domyl,

The BNB in Binance Smart Chain (the one with a dark logo) is called as BEP20. While the one on Binance Chain is BEP2 (yellow logo). These two blockchains are different and they can be transferrable and tradable on the Binance exchange.

Hmm how to know witch BNB you need to have to pay fees its not writen just says you dont have enough funds and i brought wrong bnb for fee funds… bcs it wasnt mentioned

If the address starts with 0x, then you need to have Smart Chain BNB (BEP20). If it starts with “bnb” then you need to have Binance Chain BNB (BEP2). You can do a cross-chain swap if you need to use it on the other network. Here’s a guide: How to make a Crosschain Swap on Trust Wallet
