I have ethereum in my wallet but when I try swap it on pancake swap my balance shows as zero

I have ETH and BNB in my wallet which are visible and want to trade on pancake swap. When on pancake swap I can see the BNB but the ETH balance is zero.

I am a newbie and I have read that I may need to transfer it out and back in again as BEP20? Or I am really daft???

Hello you have ERC20 ETH and Pancakeswap only supports BEP20 tokens.
You can swap out to BEP20 ETH by following the guide below
