Simply Defi is decentralised finance. It is like bank you can do lending and borrow.

Becoming your own bank.
Not having to trust central authorities to store your funds.
Not having to trust our central bank to not print excess money overnight.

well that Defi protocols still need to research, there is many ways to fool them today, so not any defi system is better then CB, but i love yours faith in concept)
