B-USDT (BEP20) Trust Wallet to USDT (ERC20) Coinbase

After one too many beers I made the mistake of sending Binance-PEG Tether USDT to my USDT wallet in Coinbase but it never made it. Now I realize that I have essentially sent a BEP20 token to an ERC20 address and the tokens might be lost.

If I log a support call with Coinbase it auto closes with sorry we can’t help. The help article also confirms they are lost. https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/trading-and-funding/sending-or-receiving-cryptocurrency/does-coinbase-support-binance-chain--bep-2--

I wanted to check with you guys if there is anything that can be done and hopefully stop anyone from making the same mistake that I have made :frowning:

Are they lost forever in a cyberspace black hole?

Hi @TheTechGuy If they are not willing to recover the crypto or credit your account, then, unfortunately, you may consider it as lost. Please be careful next time and triple-check before transacting.
Blockchain transaction can’t be reversed once confirmed.

Lesson learned the hard way. Don’t try to take profits when drinking :frowning:
