Can't connect to Optimism on Uniswap

Hi, I recently sent some ETH in my Trust Wallet from the Ethereum Mainnet to the Optimism Network.

When I connect my Trust Wallet to Uniswap, there is no option to switch to Optimism on Uniswap. Even when I click the Optimism Network in Trust Wallet when it prompts to me connect, it just connects to the Ethereum Mainnet and I have no option to switch networks.

I have spoken to other users in the Optimism Discord and they are having the same issue with Trust Wallet on iOS, version 6.6. Version 6.6 is supposed to support Optimism I thought. I also can’t find OETH in the list of tokens in my wallet.

Hello @somniferum there’s no problem on my side (I tried both on mobile and PC Chrome browser). Probably there’s something wrong on your side.

Are you on iOS 15? How come multiple users in the Optimism Discord are having the same issue?

@somniferum yes, iOS 15, app version 6.6.
Can you try to record a short video showing whole process and upload to Google drive then share public link here so as we can check?

I have the video clips uploaded to Google Drive but when I try to post them it says “Sorry you can’t include links in your post”.

@somniferum I have enabled media and links sharing for you. Try to send again it’ll work.

Here are three short clips. With 1inch, it does let me select Optismism to connect to but gives me an error message. The third clip is me searching for OETH in TrustWallet. These clips are when I am using just my phone, but the same thing happens when I use my phone and connect through scanning the QR code on my laptop.

@somniferum it looks like you have ETHEREUM only wallet. For this you need Multi Coin wallet.

Ah okay. Well all my other Ethereum wallets from other wallet providers function flawlessly with Optimism, so I have to say Trust Wallet is behind the competition.
