When I try to connect my wallet to DEGO I authorise the connection but the site doesn’t do anything else. I have some DEGO transferred for binance on BSC and would like to stake but am just not getting anywhere. I’ve tried this from my laptop as well as via my iPhone. Any suggestions or thoughts?

Try to use the DApps browser instead of WalletConnect. If it’s not yet enabled, follow this:
