Fake token detected in etherscan

Below is the smart contract token address:
0x598d96D0d81F27Bc21cf3646ce86997F6782964C

Is it possible that it is not yet authorized in the blockchain that is why it is detected as fake token?

can it still be legit even if detected as fake token in etherscan?

@rtecctv That’s a fake USDT token contract, please stay away from it to avoid loss of your assets.

thanks for your reply. it is actually imported in my wallet as it was sent to me. However, i cannot transfer it to other wallet as it was not yet authorized in blockchain. is this true that i can be used after authorizing in blockchain? is there such a process? have you checked the transactions in etherscan? Thanks.

@rtecctv There is nothing like that, a fake token is fake. Please be careful of these scam tactics.
The real USDT has a logo and a price value also on your Trust wallet app.

The token has it’s value but no equivalent value in USD. Please check and confirm again, if this is no way to be NOT FAKE. The sender insists it is detected as fake because it is not yet authorized. She said that , once it is authorized in blockchain, it will be usable and will not be FAKE TOKEN.

@rtecctv That is a fake token and you’re speaking to a scammer trying to steal from you.
