Gas Fees in Uniswap vs Trust Wallet

So I am swapping a token in Uniswap. My Trust Wallet is connected. Within Uniswap, it’s telling me that the gas fee is $40. However, when I go to confirm in Trust Wallet, their gas fee is $200… Anybody able to tell me why? Is there a better way for me to make the swap? Thanks!

Hello @everydayresearch To better assist, please send the following information:

  1. Trust Wallet app version (open the app, go to the settings of the app and press “About”, take a screenshot, and attach it here)

  2. Crypto wallet address (press the receive icon near the send button, take a screenshot of the QR code, and attach it here. Also copy and paste it in plain text)

  3. Transaction hash or link (if you have any, please copy and paste)

  4. Further details about your issue (please explain what you were trying to do)

  5. Screenshots of the wallet (including errors or missing balance)

  1. My issue is I’m just trying to understand how the fees work. So I’m attaching my Trust Wallet to Uniswap. I intend to swap TQUEEN to ETH. There is a gas fee shown in Uniswap. Then when I go to confirm the swap in my Trust Wallet, there is another gas fee for much more. Am I supposed to pay both gas fees? Why is that? Is there a different way for me to swap my token with less gas fees?

Thank you!,

Efren
