How to send USDT (ERC20) to someone?

I was going to send USDT (ERC20) to someone but I realized the network fee is very high…It always showed Insufficient ETH to cover network fee, no matter how I adjusted the amount. Because I am first time using this, I didn’t know about the gas fee… Please help me, either to send the USDT successfully or to cancel what I bought for USDT and return my money to my bank account.
