Japanese court ruled to seize BTC for the first time

For the first time in its history, the Tokyo District Court decided to seize BTC in the amount of $ 46,000. Japanese media report that law enforcement agencies have already complied with the Tokyo court ruling and seized the cryptocurrency from two men arrested in the attack on the marketplace. They turned out to be residents of Hokkaido and Osaka.

The investigation accuses them of knowingly buying NEM coins through the dark web, which were stolen from the Coinchek exchange in January 2018 in the amount of $ 534 million. Thus, the defendants violated Japanese laws against organized crime.

Later it was reported that the personal computers of Coinchek employees could have been infected with a virus developed by Russian hackers.
