Receiving Chainlink via BEP20

Hello,
I’d like to store my link in the trust.
I saw I can send it as BEP20 which I believe will mean the wallet will then receive Binance-peg BEP20 Link. Is that correct?

Once I send the link back to Binance will be regular ERC20 LINK again?

So in general it’s still better / safer to have Binance Peg BP20 tokens in a trust wallet rather than leaving them on the exchange?
