Trust Wallet now supports KAVA tokens. USDX and HARD

Trust Wallet team has added support of KAVA based tokens, USDX and HARD. Since these tokens reside on the KAVA blockchain, they share the same address. The app can only be used to send and receive the tokens for now.

What is USDX?

USDX is a digital asset which denominates the borrow balances drawn from the Kava lending platform. A user can supply BTC or other cryptocurrencies to Kava, borrow USDX, and exchange that USDX for other assets, goods, or services. Once the USDX is repaid to Kava, the user regains full access to their supplied BTC.

According to Kava Labs, “Anyone in the world can deposit digital assets as collateral on Kava and use that balance to mint USDX tokens.”

What is HARD?

Hard Protocol or HARD is the world’s first cross-chain money market that enables you to earn more with your digital assets. With HARD you will now be able to lend, borrow, and earn with assets like BTC, XRP, BNB, BUSD, KAVA, and USDX.

HARD is a governance token that gives its holders a voice in the platform. Collectively, HARD holders are responsible for managing key parameters of the protocol such as what assets are to be offered, how rewards are distributed amongst assets, as well as set any platform fees, etc.

Enable the tokens

You can enable the tokens on the app simply by searching for them. Tap on the Add Asset toggle at the upper right.

Search for the name of the token and then look for the one that has a “KAVA” label.
Slide the toggle to the right to enable it.

How to Receive?

The Kava (KAVA) address will be used for receiving USDX or HARD. You will notice that on the same wallet, the address for KAVA, USDX and HARD are similar.

To get the address, tap on the Receive button to show the QR code or just tap on Copy.

How to Send?

Select the asset and then tap on Send, input the Recipient Address and Amount.

After tapping on Next, a confirm screen will show the summary of the transaction. You need to have KAVA Tokens on the same wallet in order to Send tokens.

If the wallet does not have enough KAVA tokens for fees, an error message will appear.
