Trust Wallet Renames Existing Terra Network to Terra Classic Network

Dear Trust Wallet users,

In accordance with Terra’s revival plan, the Terraform Labs team will create a new blockchain without the algorithmic stablecoin component. The new Terra blockchain is expected to go live on May 28, 2022.

Trust Wallet will rename the current Terra network as Terra Classic network. Exiting Terra assets holders will see their balances in Trust Wallet displayed as Luna Classic. Terra stablecoins (UST, KRT, EUT etc.) will be renamed as Terra Classic stablecoins (USTC, KRTC, EUTC respectively).

This change will be made available via an upcoming app update. Upon release, this change will not require any user action and all balances will remain the same.

New LUNA Airdrop

Some existing LUNA and UST holders will be qualified to receive the new LUNA via airdrop on the Terra 2.0 blockchain. Please see the airdrop distribution rules here. Trust Wallet does not currently support the new Terra blockchain. Whether or not Trust Wallet supports Terra 2.0 will be decided by our TWT community in the form of a governance vote.

Therefore, LUNA and UST holders using Trust Wallet will not be able to see new LUNA funds from the new blockchain’s airdrop at this time. But please be assured that funds are safe on the blockchain directly. Eligible recipients for the LUNA airdrop can use their existing secret phrase on Trust Wallet with the Terra Station wallet (Android / iOS) to view and move their new funds.

Thanks for your support!

Risk warning: There a lot of controversies around the Terra network(s) recently. Cryptocurrency trading is subject to high market risk. Trust Wallet doesn’t hold your funds as your funds are on the blockchain. Please make your trades cautiously and keep your secret phrase away from scammers, as there is no way for Trust Wallet to retrieve your lost funds on public blockchains.
