Trust Wallet Token ($TWT) Use Case 2: Discounts
Trust Wallet Token (TWT) is the native crypto token of Trust Wallet, the most trusted crypto wallet in the world. The token is currently available on BNB Beacon Chain (BEP-2) and BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20), as well as on Solana (SPL).
Read on to discover how to use TWT to receive discounts within the Trust Wallet app.
Use TWT To Receive Discounts in the Trust Wallet App
Arguably one of the most exciting use cases of the Trust Wallet Token (TWT) is that you can use it to receive in Trust Wallet.
By holding at least 100 TWT, you are automatically eligible for a waiver on a 1% additional charge on crypto purchases done from any of the crypto vendors on Trust Wallet.
While you can buy crypto directly on Trust Wallet, the app has partnered with other certified vendors to facilitate the process. Usually, each purchase you make of between a minimum of $50 and $20,000 attracts a conversion and network fee plus an additional 1% fee on your transaction.
However, holders of TWT are exempted from this 1% charge, making it more affordable to buy cryptocurrency from the app.
Although you can still purchase your crypto from elsewhere and send it to the app, as usual, it will still cost you the usual transaction fee. By holding some TWT, you can bypass unnecessary charges and save some money.
So make sure you have 100+ TWT and enable them in your wallet to take advantage of the special discounts for TWT tokenholders.
How to Get TWT Tokens to Receive Discounts
To receive discounts within the Trust Wallet app, you need to hold at least 100 TWT tokens.
Arguably the easiest way to get your hands on TWT - if you already hold tokens on BNB Smart Chain - is by swapping existing BEP-20 tokens for TWT (BEP-20).
For example, you could swap BNB (BEP-20) tokens for Trust Wallet (BEP-20) tokens. As soon as they land in your wallet, you can start to take advantage of discounts.
Alternatively, you could swap BEP-20 assets on decentralized exchanges, such as PancakeSwap, directly within the mobile app’s dApp Browser.
If you don’t already hold BEP-20 tokens in your Trust Wallet, you could access a centralized exchange like Binance and choose any cryptocurrency supported in TWT trading pairs, such as USDT, BUSD, and BTC. To fund your account, you can use cryptocurrency or a range of fiat currency funding options, which will depend on your geographical location.
