Well, the system show my stats is 367 days visited. It is 2 days over the requirements, so I doubt it is automatically. Maybe something wrong with the system.
Still waiting for my badge as the second devotee after @zachzwei. 369 days visited and counting.
The badge requirement is you should have visited the site consecutively for 365 days. If the badge did not appear for you then most likely you might have missed a day or so.
