Since some weeks, for little transfer, their charge $0.5 or 0.6.
I understand not, why?

It flunctates with respect to network. Besides, be sure trustwallet does not charge or take any fee from any user. Any fee you see is due to miners operation.

Because there are many transactions in eth Network currently. Defi, erc20 tokens and smart contracts - all this is overloading eth Network which is not so scalable

You can wait till when traffic is less at midnight, Gas Fee is quite low at the time

Midnight what time? 
I tried it twice already, just midnight when there are less transaction going on at same time. Here its 1:00CST.
