Luno requires a destination tag for XRP in order for me to send to my Trustwallet address. Trustwallet asserts that it doesn’t need one. I’m stuck. How can I resolve this silly issue?

When receiving XRP to your Trust App, the destination tag isn’t required but when sending out to an exchange or wallet that requires (e.g LUNO like you mentioned), it is required you input a destination tag before sending out.
