There is some sort of huge issue with the recent update of trust wallet? Please confirm, my other wallets all have different addresses. But when i use the share all of these have the same address:
My Public Address to Receive USDT: 0xB7D2477d747345c70879de51eaDe3998971E68bc
My Public Address to Receive SAFEMOON: 0xB7D2477d747345c70879de51eaDe3998971E68bc
My Public Address to Receive ETH: 0xB7D2477d747345c70879de51eaDe3998971E68bc
is that even correct?
I was able to transfer ETH and USDT into the trust wallet. But then everything went crazy when i tried to exchange the USDT
Hi, @pod614 about about addresses it is normal, BEP20 and ERC20 are all identical in Trust Wallet. Read more here: Binance Smart Chain Address Change
About transaction transactions,
When swapping tokens for the first time, you have to approve it first to be spendable. And, that is what you did just now.
Since you are done approving the token, you need to enter the amount that you want to exchange then press the swap button.
All in all, you will confirm two transactions: approve and swap
NB: Both token approval and swapping transactions needs gas fees.
so if i did everything correctly why isnt my USDT down to 0 and ETH up?
@pod614 you only approved token but not swap. Refer my message above.
Thank you Alan for your help! I was able to confirm that and lost nothing. Was really strange that i did the approval, but wasnt able to complete the trade. thank you!
